Running the air conditioner while charging is not recommended
Many owners may think that the vehicle is also discharging while charging, which will cause damage to the power battery. In fact, this problem has been considered at the beginning of the design of new energy vehicles: when the car is charged, the vehicle VCU (vehicle controller) will charge part of the electricity for the air conditioning compressor, so there is no need to worry about battery damage.
Since the vehicle's air conditioning compressor can be powered directly through the charging pile, why is it not recommended to turn on the air conditioning while charging? There are two main considerations: safety and charging efficiency.
First, safety, when the vehicle is in fast charging, the internal temperature of the power battery pack is high, and there are certain safety risks, so the personnel try not to stay in the car;
The second is the charging efficiency. When we turn on the air conditioner to charge, part of the current output of the charging pile will be used by the air conditioner compressor, which will reduce the charging power and thus extend the charging time.
If the owners are charging, there is no lounge around the case, it is possible to temporarily open the air conditioning in the car.
High temperature has a certain impact on vehicle endurance
In high temperature weather, the driving range of new energy vehicles will be affected to a certain extent. According to research verification, in the case of 35 degrees high temperature, its endurance capacity retention rate is generally 70%-85%.
This is because the temperature is too high, which affects the lithium ion activity in the lithium battery electrolyte, and the battery is in a hot state when the vehicle is running, which will accelerate the consumption of electricity, and then reduce the driving range. In addition, when some electronic auxiliary equipment such as air conditioning is turned on during driving, the driving range will also decrease.
In addition, the tire temperature will also increase in high temperature weather, and the rubber is easy to soften. Therefore, it is necessary to check the tire pressure regularly, and find that the tire is overheating and the air pressure is too high, the car should be parked in the shade to cool down, not to splash with cold water, and do not deflate, otherwise it will lead to a burst tire on the way and early damage to the tire.
